A/C unit went out on a Sunday afternoon. Quick check outside I could hear it attempting to start. I flipped the fan blade with a stick and the fan slowly began turning and speeding up but compressor would not kick on. Most likely a bad capacitor, I verified with my mutimeter. On Monday called local supply company to pick up part and was told I needed an HVAC/EPA license for them to sell me the part. Jumped online and found Keiths Specialty had my part at a very reasonable price and they would actually sell to the public. Placed order on Monday around noon with standard shipping and had part Wednesday afternoon. Took a few minutes to install, I have learned from past experience to pay attention to wiring when taking off the old one, flipped the breaker back on and A/C started right up. As to longevity of the capacitor I can not review yet, but part was what was pictured and works fine so far. This website is now bookmarked for all of my HVAC needs.
Good service, good product. Did not come on time, but the bad weather was probably the cause of this problem.
