I had seen this type of tool years ago and recently while working on a oil fired maple syrup evaporator the idea of having one seemed to make sense. So I looked and found one and bought it. Haven't used it yet. Looks like it will come in handy though. price and delivery was excellent.

This was a great tool for someone who is not working on oil burners all the time , it made the setup simple and fast.
This too really helped me get the Igniters close to the proper position, I had to fine tune with out it.
Makes adjustment much quicker.
The shipping and handling costs are too high for a product that can be thrown into a shipping bag and sent within minutes!
I have used this on two burners and the settings weren't even close. Not happy, this thing is pricey for a piece of plastic but if it was accurate I would have no problem what so ever with it. However, I haven't had very good luck so far.
Very happy with the gauge Saves a lot of time.
I used this to gap my sister's oil furnace electrodes after a nozzle replacement and it worked great. The oil furnace was an old international heating co from the 70's I believe.
