PEX Tubing for Water
Zurn PEX Tubing
PEX tubing may be used in hot or cold waterline applications. It can also be used in open, meaning open to the atmosphere, heating systems such as outdoor wood and coal furnaces. PEX tubing has become the favorite of modern plumbers because of its flexibility and ease of use. The white, red and blue colors can all be used with hot or cold water. Using red for hot and blue for cold just makes identifying the waterlines easier.
PEX tubing and fitting size is customarily given by ID [inside diameter]. The tubing is cts, or copper tubing size, meaning it is the same outside diameter as copper tubing.
