brass flare fittings

Flare fittings are used on soft copper tubing for applications with water, oil, or gas.
Fittings, except caps and unions, are all male flare and require a short flare nut, sold separately, to make a connection.

These fittings are NOT lead free and may not be used in potable water systems.

All flare sizes are listed as OD (outside diameter) of the tubing they fit.  See chart for OD to ID comparison.

o.d. [outside diameter] to i.d. [inside diameter] tubing size conversion

tubing o.d.   tubing i.d.
1/4" 1/8"
3/8" 1/4"
1/2" 3/8"
5/8" 1/2"
Example:
Use 1/2" flare fittings
on 3/8" i.d. copper.
For small sizes, i.d. plus 1/8" equals o.d..

Definitions:

      mipt = male ips thread.
      fipt = female ips thread.

03-011.jpg short forged flare nuts (female flare) These forged flare nuts are used to connect copper tubing to a flare fitting. Be sure to slide the flare nut on the tubing before you flare it!

03-311.jpg flare couplings [unions] (flare x flare) These flare to flare couplings, sometimes called unions, are used to join two flared pieces of copper tubing together.

03-330.jpg flare reducer couplings [unions] (flare x flare) These flare to flare reducer couplings, sometimes called unions, are used to join two flared pieces of different size copper tubing together.

03-123.jpg male adapters (flare x mipt) Use these male to flare adapters to connect flared copper tubing to a female pipe threaded fitting.

03-227.jpg female adapters (flare x fipt) Use these female to flare adapters to connect flared copper tubing to a male pipe threaded fitting or nipple.

03-411.jpg flare 90 degree ells (flare x flare) Use these flare to flare 90 degree ells to connect two pieces of flared copper tubing together at a 90 degree angle.

03-436.jpg flare x male 90 degree ells (flare x mipt) Use these male to flare 90 degree ells to connect flared copper tubing to a female pipe threaded fitting at a 90 degree angle.

03-477.jpg flare x female 90 degree ells (flare x fipt) Use these female to flare 90 degree ells to connect flared copper tubing to a male pipe threaded fitting or nipple at a 90 degree angle.

03-511.jpg flare tees (flare x flare x flare) These flared tees connect three pieces of flared copper tubing together.

03-611.jpg flare caps (female flare) These are used to cap off a male flare threaded fitting. Do not use on pipe threads.

03-637.jpg flare plugs (flare male) These plugs are threaded into flare nuts to seal a flared copper tubing.

03-669.jpg flare swivel unions (female flare x female flare swivel) These swivel unions are made of two flare nuts on a short piece of flared copper tubing. They are used to connect two male threaded flare fittings together.

03-805.jpg flare stove adaptors These stove flare adapters have a unique 15/16" flare used on flexible gas connectors.

03-709.jpg flare shut-off valves (flare x flare) These valves have a male flare thread on each end. They are used to put a shut-off valve in a copper tubing line.
