This is a 150 psi 5/8 OD compression stop and waste valve for water only. This vavle is used on 5/8 OD (1/2 ID) soft copper tubing. Do not use on steel tubing. It is usually used to prevent damage to the pipe from freezing. Remove the waste cap on the side of the valve to drain the water from the pipe back to the valve. Maximum temperature rating is 180 F (82 C), rubber packing.
