Sewer and Drain (S&D) Pipe and Fittings

SandD-fittings.jpgS&D and SDR-35 pipe is belled on one end to connect one pipe to another.  No couplings are needed.  Solid pipe (no holes) is used to transport water.  Perforated pipe has 2 rows of 5/8 holes to pick up or disperse water.  Always place perforated pipe in the ditch with the holes turned down.  Solvent weld glue is recommended to secure the pipe and fittings.

Our S&D has a crush rating of 3000 pounds per foot.  The SDR-35 pipe is not crush-rated; but it has a thicker wall and is heavier pipe.  For maximum strength, solid pipe should be embedded in several inches of sand, gravel or clean soil.  Perforated pipe should be embedded in 2B gravel at least 6 inches above the pipe.  Do not back fill large stones or clay on the pipe.

Because S&D and SDR-35 pipe have the same outside diameter, the s&d fittings are used with both types of pipe.

Published prices are applicable to our quantities on hand at the time of publication.  Prices are subject to change.

sewer and drain

s&d and sdr35 pipe is sold in 10 foot sections or joints. This pipe has a belled end to connect one pipe to another.  No couplings are needed to join full sections of pipe.

Due to size restrictions these 10 foot pieces can NOT be shipped via UPS. Shippng must be via freight which starts around $130 and goes up.

23-105.jpg S&D couplings (hub x hub) Couplings connect two pieces of pipe (non-bell ends)

23-108.jpg S&D bushings Bushings glue into a larger size fitting and allow a smaller size pipe to be glued into the bushing

23-113.jpg S&D ells (hub x hub) These ells connect two non-bell ends of pipe to make the desired angle

23-116.jpg S&D street ells (hub x fitting) Street ells connect the bell end of a pipe or the hub of a fitting to a non-bell end to make the desired angle

23-135.jpg S&D tees, wyes (hub x hub x hub) Tees and Wyes connect three non-bell pieces of pipe. The dimensions of reducing tees and wyes are end x end x side branch. A tee branches off at 90 degrees while a wye branches off at 45 degrees. The branch on a sanitary tee has a slope that directs incoming water in one direction.

23-141.jpg S&D cross (hub x hub x hub x hub) Crosses connect four non-bell pieces of pipe to form a cross. Crosses are sometimes called double tees.

23-144.jpg S&D caps (hub) Caps are used to terminate, or cap off, the non-bell end of a pipe

23-147.jpg S&D downspout adapters (hub x hub) These adapters are used to connect the non-bell end of a pipe to a rectangular downspout. The flush mount adapter has the rectangular side off-center to keep the downspout closer to the building.

23-150.jpg S&D drain grates (fitting) Drain grates go into the bell end of the pipe or the hub of a fitting to keep small animals from entering the pipe

23-153.jpg S&D cleanout adapters (fitting x fipt) Clean out adapters are used in the bell end of pipe or in the hub of a fitting and have female threads. They typically are used with a threaded plug to provide access to clear a clogged drain.

23-155.jpg S&D female adapters (hub x fipt) These adapters go over the non-bell end of a pipe and have female threads. They typically are used with a threaded plug to provide access to clear a clogged drain.

21-774.jpg Animal Guards Plastic animal guard attaches to the end of any 4 inch drain pipe. Flapper action allows water to pass but keeps rats and muskrats from entering the pipe.
